Srinivasa Ramanujan Birthday as Mathematics Day on 22.12.2015 Certain Instructions

Srinivasa Ramanujan  ( 22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920 ) the birth anniversary  to actively promote interest of students in Mathematics and its application by promoting Mathematics, So, all the schools in Telangana State shall celebrate Maths Day on 22nd December 2015.

The study of Mathematics leads to logical and analytical thinking and its learning and teaching enables better understanding of sciences and spirit behind the Maths Day Celebrations are to make the study of Mathematics more interesting and reduce the fear of learning the subject.

Maths Day Celebrations Schedule

All the Mandal Education officers are requested to conduct the activities on the occasion of Srinivasa Ramanujan Birthday at Mandal level and instruct the Headmasters to conduct at School level. The State Project Director has issued the Guidelines to all the DEOs and SSA POs in Telangana State on Maths Day Celebrations. All the MEOs send a brief report with press clippings and photos to the concerned District's DPO, SSA.

Maths Day Celebrations will be conducted in 3 Stages

School Level on 21.12.15 in 3 stages.

1. 1st stage:  3rd,4th,5th Classes
2. 2nd stage:  6th,7th Classes
3. 3rd stage: 8th Class

School Level Programme on 21.12.2015

1. Essay Writing and Elecussion competetions should be conducted
2. Mental Ability Programmes
3. Mathematic Puzzles
4. Mathematic quiz
5. Reasoning and Problem Solving skills should be tested

Mandal  Level Programme on 22.12.2015

1. Topics of Maths Day Celebrations
2. Ganithamlo Ramanujan Sevalu (Essay, Elocution)
3. Mental Maths(Oral)
4. Maths Puzzles
5. Quiz (on Maths)
6. Tharkika alochana samasyala sadhana.
