First of all you have to update the whatsapp to it’s latest version in order to enable fingerprint lock feature.

Updating whatsapp follow this steps:

Open whatsapp and tap on 3 vertical dots on top right side.
Now go to the Settings->Account->Privacy.
Scroll down and find Fingerprint lock.
Enable it and select duration to automatically lock your whatsapp.
That’s it now you have to go through fingerprint lock whenever you open your whatsapp.
Turn on Unlock with fingerprint, and confirm your fingerprint.

Adjust the lock time as per your convenience (Options are immediately, After 1 minute & After 30 minutes).
